For nine months of the year, the Georgia Writers Association hosts 2-hour writers workshops that focus on some aspect of the writing life: craft, finding an agent, publishing, marketing, and so much more. Past invited authors have included Anjali Enjeti, Sumita Chakraborty, Kerry Neville, and others. Our workshops are held at Elevator Factory, 437 Memorial Dr. SE, A-2, Atlanta, GA 30312.

Other annual events include the Georgia Author of the Year Awards (GAYA) and the Red Clay Writers Conference. GAYA is an annual award that honors authors published in the previous calendar year. The awards cover thirteen categories in both fiction and nonfiction genres. Each year, one winner and one finalist are selected from each category and announced at the GAYA banquet and ceremony. Additionally, the Red Clay Writers Conference is an all-day event that is comprised of multiple workshops that cover topics such as writing, marketing, and publishing.

Lesley Dill Virtual Artist Lecture

The Zuckerman Museum of Art is thrilled to host a one-hour virtual lecture with renowned artist Lesley Dill on Friday, April 9, 2021, at noon via Zoom.

This virtual lecture event is in conjunction with “Some Early Visionaries,” an exhibition in our satellite Fine Arts Gallery featuring drawings and collages by Lesley Dill. The exhibition will be on view in the ZMA’s Fine Arts Gallery from Tuesday, March 16th through Saturday, April 10, 2021. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
