For nine months of the year, the Georgia Writers Association hosts online workshops that focus on some aspects of the writing life: craft, finding an agent, publishing, marketing, and so much more. Past invited authors have included Aricka Foreman, Carter Sickels, Chika Unigwe, and others.

Other annual events include the Georgia Author of the Year Awards (GAYA) and the Red Clay Writers Conference. GAYA is an award honoring authors published in the previous calendar year. The awards cover up to 19 categories in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry genres. Each year, one winner and one finalist are selected from each category and announced on Facebook Live. Red Clay Writers Conference is a two-day online event comprised of workshops, craft talks, and panel discussions in writing, marketing, and publishing.

If you would like for your literary event to appear on the calendar, please fill out the form here. All submissions are subject to review and approval.
