It’s here! Georgia Writers Association’s First Digital Magazine for Writers

By admin

Introducing Georgia Writers Association’s digital magazine for writers. Every month we bring you a motivational kick to get you writing more, publishing more, and living the writer’s life—Georgia style.

Graduate students iThe Georgia Writers Authority July 2015n the Master of Arts in Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University recently created three editions of the new digital magazine for Georgia Writers Association. The project was part of an assignment for Dr. Margaret Walters‘ class in Professional and Academic Editing. We are proud to launch the first of these digital magazines here: The Georgia Writers Authority. Student bios can be found inside the magazine.

Our first issue covers Tips, Tools, & Stories to Help Writers Write… and Get Published. Our goal is to help motivate Georgia writers from all fields and genres to write more, publish more, and live the writer’s life. In this first issue, local writers share advice, tell stories about their methods, and talk tools and tips. We share our favorite writing spaces, how you can become your own independent publisher, and chat with author Robert Lamb. While future issues of The Georgia Writers Authority will tackle different writing-related themes, each issue will always be directed toward the Georgia writers’ community. To keep you connected to valuable community resources, each issue will provide information about upcoming Georgia Writers Association events and other writing-related happenings around the state. We hope you find tools and strategies in this first issue of our digital magazine for writers to inspire you, help you master your craft, and keep you writing.

Note: At this time, articles from the magazine cannot be printed out individually. You may, however, at your own cost print out the entire issue of the magazine (approximate prices range from $10-12, payable to our magazine host, Joomag). We hope to change the printing options in the fall.
