 Mekael L. Shane was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 17th, 1970. He attended Central State University of Ohio, where he majored in Political Science. Professionally, Mekael has dedicated himself to working with At-Risk Youth, while working for an organization called Project IMPACT - Indianapolis. Mekael recently re-located to Atlanta for the purpose of chasing his dream to write, adding his presence to the strong tradition of Georgia Writers. His published collection of poetry, The Genesis A Collection of Poems by Mekael, is his entre' into the Published Arts, though he has been involved with the poetic community for more than ten years. Mekael is fast at work finishing the production of his next collection, which is scheduled for a summer 2008 release.
