Anita Weinraub has been chairwoman of the Georgia Quilt Project since its formation in 1989. She holds BS (conservation) and MBA (finance) degrees from the University of Michigan and studied for three years at the University of Valencia in Spain. She is a member of the American Quilt Study Group, the Georgia Quilt Council, and the Gwinnett Quilters' Guild. She has published many articles on quiltmaking and quilt history, both nationally and internationally (U.K., Japan, Austalia), especially on the Olympic quilts. She is a contributor to The Olympic Games Quilts volume (Oxmoor House).  In 1998 she traveled to Japan to present a quilt to the head of the Nagano Olympic Committee.  Anita has curated four quilt exhibits at the Atlanta History Center. She lives with her mother and daughter in Atlanta.
