44th Annual Georgia Author of the Year Nominee Born in Atlanta in 1961, Todd grew up in Smyrna and Austell in Cobb County and graduated from the College Park campus of Woodward Academy. He received a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Furman University in 1983. Todd has been a television sports reporter and weekend anchor; an in-house corporate public relations practitioner; and has spent the majority of his career in sales and marketing roles in the Atlanta area private golf and country club development business. Since 1990, Todd has also published over eighty golf business and golf lifestyle articles as well as bios, essays, and comic entertainments in national, regional, state, and local Atlanta magazines. For a Masters-related article published in Golf Georgia, Todd won a “Silver” award for magazine journalism from the Georgia Magazine Association, now the Magazine Association of the Southeast. Todd teaches Georgia History Honors, World Cultures, and a class on leadership and social skills development at Mill Springs Academy in Alpharetta, a school for kids, grades 1 through 12, with learning disabilities and mild behavior problems. Todd lives in Alpharetta. |
