Shelia P. Moses 44th GAYA WINNER Children's Mid Reader Sallie Gal Shelia P. Moses grew up in North Carolina and is a poet, playwright, and co-author of the New York Times bestseller Callus on My Soul: A Memoir, about the civil rights activist, performer, and author Dick Gregory. Her first book for younger readers is The Legend of Buddy Bush, which was a National Book Award Finalist as well as the winner of a Coretta Scott King Award Honor. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia. |
