Nathaniel Lachenmeyer Nathaniel Lachenmeyer is an award-winning author of books for children and adults. His first book, a memoir titled The Outsider, is a recipient of the Kenneth Johnson Memorial Research Library Book Award and is the winner of the Bell of Hope Award. Nathaniel’s second book for adults, 13: The Story of the World’s Most Notorious Superstition, has been published in eight countries. His first children’s picture book, Broken Beaks, has been published in Australia, Korea, and Brazil and is due out in the U.S. next year, along with two additional picture books. His children’s picture book, The Decoy (Mitten Press) was a Children’s Midwest Favorite 2007 selection by the Midwest Booksellers Association. Nathaniel lives in the Atlanta, Georgia area with his wife and son.
