Leir Williford, a single parent of three children, deals with trials and hardships through wisdom and faith from God. After her children left the nest, Leir relocated to New York City from Southern Illinois. Here, writing blossomed from a journaling experience into a passion. Since experiencing the Big Apple, Ms. Williford has since resided in four more states and has traveled the globe, embracing various cultures and surroundings. A self-published author of a fiction work, Voice of the Eyes, she is currently completing her second book, a non-fiction guide for grandparents raising grandchildren, No Grief No Gain—Grandparents' Strain While Raising Grandchildren. Leir currently resides in Duluth, Georgia with her granddaughter.

Their story reflects fate overriding coincidences and sometimes accepting the unexplainable supersedes trusting in the logical. Sprinkling with a twist of almost believable fantasy, this novel takes something unseen making it tangible.

Leir is now raising her own 12-year-old granddaughter, and so has interjected her personal experiences into No Grief No Gain, as well as advice from a PhD Psychologist and from other grandparents involved in the same situation. Also a Registered Nurse, Ms. Williford has used knowledge and understanding gained from her 17 years' experience to guide her in writing this book.
